On the nose this is buttery and light citrus. On the palate some nice citric tartness initially, but followed by a fuller mouthfeel with toastiness and then a finish which is quite unusually drying.
All in all this is an interesting wine. Very crisp. The dry finish will be love it or hate it. I quite like it.
And really quite good QPR at ~US$31.

Medium gold, fine beading. Nose: restrained, red apples and raspberries, citrus present but restrained. There's just a hint of almonds.
The palate is also dry and restrained. The acidity is held in check, unlike some Champagnes. Medium bodied but with a nice elegance and good finish. Definitely my preferred style of champagne, not too big. Very good.

Popped from a 375ml bottle. Great nose of toffee, nutty notes and subtle citrus. Medium bodied, dry, tasty and refreshing, delivering subtle toffee, brioche and a bit of citrus with good acidity and mousse. Great champagne. Paired nicely with sushi.

Good value champagne. A bit muted on the nose with hints of lemon and grass. Taste is better with very smooth bubbles and a fresh, dry, nicely-balanced citrus taste. I bought the bottle two years ago, and I think it could take another two and improve.

Very good, high acid clean NM champagne but family owned and run. At CiPasso wine bar in Rome. Excellent friendly place, unlike Retrobottega.
