  Don’t really like this wine. Normally I like Beaujolais and was really excited to try two things with this wine: 1: Trying the wines from Jean Marc Burgaud. 2: Trying old Beaujolais. But this wine just seems dead. Knowing that some beaujolais age with greatness this bottle sadly is NOT one of them. The nose has some excitement but the taste just appears very flat, boring a very linear. Some acidity but almost no fruit (compared to young Beaujolais) and absolutely no excitement from ageing - what a let down.

  Darker red colour, clear to rim. Med viscosity. Light red fruits, tart cherry on nose, subtle. Bright cherry, touch of spice, grippy tannins to start followed by laser of acid on front and mid palate. Decent length, touch of sweetness as it fades, not overly complicated but nice.
