Good oak Chardonnay.
Wine for the starter of a very nice St. Nicholas menu. Brussels sprouts soup with prawns. Perfect match for me, the others thought, a Weissburgunder (without oak) would have been better.
Great with pan seared sea bass. Drinking before food arrive was not so great.
Quite pale gold still. nose of ever such fresh French oak and ripe but not overdone Chardonnay fruit. Restrained, elegant and very polished. Maybe lacking excitement but delicious all the same.
