  • You're in mature territory with this now, plum notes are dominating, but it showed nicely on day 2. This was my last bottle ;(

  • The wine in this bottle was a bit too oxidized (plummy notes and tired overall state) for the 9 years since vintage, so I assume a flawed cork and didn't rate. Afterwards I opened the next bottle immediately which is much better, so the state of this bottle is not characteristic of the product generally. Nevertheless, I want to be on the safe side and will use up my last bottle within months.

  • This bottle took a few hours to get out of the starting blocks but on days two and three we were back to my earlier assessments. There are first signs of "old notes" such as the oft mentioned "liquefied quince crystals" as I call them, an effect of all the aspects of tastes merging into one complex whole rather than existing separately, lingering in a ever so slightly decadent and plummy afterglow. If you do not like this you may want to drink up. I will leave the drinking window open until at least 2026, but I suspect I might move from consuming this in three days to two days. In the end I might have it in one day. Three bottles to go.

    Otherwise TN as before.

  • TN as before. Very consistent wine. Extended drinking window until 2026 – which for me means a bottle every two years.

  • Herrliche Fruchtaromen in der Nase, Aprikose, Himbeere, Johannisbeere, grüner Apfel und Quitte, Kräuternoten, Pfefferminze, und rauchige würzige Nuancen.

Am Gaumen frische fruchtige Töne, Pfirsich, Mirabelle und Maracuja, sehr würzig, salzige Mineralität, milde Säure, wunderbar ausgewogen. Mittlerer Körper, knackig und energisch, sehr komplex.

    Langer kräftiger Abgang.

Ein sehr geschmeidiger Sommer- Riesling. Für mich heute 89+/100
