Three hours of decant time, everything about this is on the savory side, with a nose filled with soy, herbs, cherry. The palate is complex, with all the tones of the nose making an appearance. The acidity is tart and the tannins are silky, with a well built mouthfeel resulting. Medium bodied, with a finish that stretches out for quite a while.

This was excellent. Smooth mouthfeel, seems completely ready to drink right now. Extremely well balanced. Greg says that the structure is completely buried in the fruit presently. Amazing balance and symmetry. So utterly fine. Delicious. One of the best CCRs I’ve ever had. Old vines, single vineyard. Just terrific. Purchased in San Gimignano and enjoyed with Greg at Fietri, Gaiole in Chianti.
