I still agree with my previous notes: Hard to beat for the price--round red fruit, spice, essence of Provence. Satisfying, mid-week Rhone blend: 60% Grenache, 40% Syrah.

The color shows little to no sign of age. The nose has some distinct black pepper, spice and some flinty/mineral notes. Not a ton of fruit, but maybe some blackberries. The palate is medium bodied, with some dark plums/blackberries but dominated by a spicy, black pepper, slightly bitter/metallic finish. The finish has a bit of length, accentuated by spice. If I paid the $12-15 retail, I'd say "meh." But at $7 delivered to my door, I'm happy with it. Not the most complex, and can likely last a couple more years.

Perhaps doing even better with some more time? Otherwise, still agree with my 4/30/18 note: Hard to beat for the price--round red fruit, spice, essence of Provence. Satisfying, mid-week Rhone blend: 60% Grenache, 40% Syrah.

Solid grenache based red
Throwing some sediment, tannins nicely softened, dark fruit and a touch of spice
Excellent QPR
