Funky nose, needs some swirling to dig into the typical carmenere aromas, intense and fruity, a lot of passion in this wine, definitely in the new world category but not overdone.

Deep purple colour, but not inky (just short of opaque). Big nose of red fruits (cherry, raspberry, strawberry) and baking spice (cloves, cardamom, and vanilla with tinges of cinnamon). Quite light on the palate with soft tannins and medium+ acidity that frame a good complexity of flavours, including red fruits, baking spices, and even some light hints of minerality and earth. Flavours fade into chocolate and smoke on the finish. Good value wine!

Dark and intense. Aroma of blackberry and black plum at first and then toastiness, with scents of coffee, black pepper, cinnamon, dark chocolate. Very interesting the pencil lead hint. In the mouth it shows both big tannins and a well over medium body. It's definitively a soft wine, but the good acidity helps to keep the balance. Complex and round, I didn't think carmenere was capable of making such powerful wines, but I'm pleasantly surprised. It's also quite expensive for a chilean wine, but very good for its price.

Toasty fruit very modern nose. Entry is extracted and with a quite rich profile. Tannins are light. This is well done for a very modern construction.
