  Opened, poured into a decanter, and enjoyed with food (seafood fideua, in case you were wondering). This was tasted along with a 2012 La Rioja Alta Vina Ardanza Reserva.
  Garnet color.
  Nose offers dark fruits - plum and cherry. Slight hint of oak.
  Nice well balanced wine. Good depth. Tannins nicely integrated.
  Enjoyable.

  Day two is even better Fruit and spice balance with the acid and minimal tannins Now is the time.

  First of two.
  Still very young and primary at 12 years.
  Could stand to develop more complexity.
  Excellent balance and structure, just needs additional time.

  Very ripe and lots of oak. I gave it an hour of air, hoping it would settle down. Ripe black raspberry fruit and vanilla notes. Silky and long, but the finish has bitter oak notes. It does have the stuffing to age and possibly integrate with time. Right now though, the wine is drinkable but monolithic. I liked this producer in the 90’s but they have become too modern for my taste. 86+
