was hanging onto this bottle for sentimental reasons as it is one of the wines that i served at ellen's wedding. also, i have few occasions that call for a sweet wine. i felt compelled to pull this bottle due to its age and the Christmas season seeemed an appropriate time to do so. therfore, i brought this bottle to elena and sal for christmas dinner. served with dessert. shared with pat, ellen, elena, mario, sr. and anthony's girlfriend. the wine has taken on golden color. the palate has developed secondary caramel. bubbles are transient and sparse. still enjoyable but no longer what it shoud be. will drink up remaining bottles asap.

shared with pat at selkirk manor. was in the mood for a sparkler. however, i forgot how sweet this was. therefore, it was a poor pairing with the food at the table. nevertheless, the wine was enjoyable on its own as well as with chocolate dessert. some peach and apricot on the palate. the wine remains in sound condition so i am extending longevity.

Si, Espresso-a Staten Island barista provided the coffee bar at the house party celebrating Giuliana's baptism. They used this bottle to make their version of Vinoccino. Enjoyed by all. The cork was difficult to extract but the wine was sound. In addition to contributing to the recipe for Vinoccino, the wine continues to be enjoyable on its own. Based on this tasting, I am extending longevity one year.

sixth of six bottles used to make Vinoccino at Louis and Ellen's wedding held at The Venetian in Garfield, N.J. on 6/6/2015. this was served during the viennese hour and was one of the ingredients in the craft cocktail- Vinocino. there were approximately 150 servings. some guests enjoyed the wine on its own and gave it high marks. the cocktail recipe was suggested by the party host and the rendition created by general manager Carlos and his staff was superb. each component was strongly identifiable on the palate with the coffee freshly roasted and blended, the icecream smooth and creamy and the wine unctuosly giving. at the same time, everything came together harmoniously. enjoyed by all as a goodbye toast at the end of a lovely party.
