A blend of 70% Zinfandel, 21% Petite Sirah, 6% Carignane and 3% Mourvedre. The well integrated flavors of plum, molasses, cinnamon, Zin funk, brambles, and a bit of rhubarb dance across the palate. Nicely balanced and very ready to drink. It may continue to develop some bottle sweetness, but it’s delivering plenty of pleasure now. A good dose of sediment. 14.4% alc. With Pierce’s pork BBQ. 03.03.24. Recommended.

Drank alongside a 2012 Alter Ego and this seemed tired in comparison. Fruit was a bit more stewed and baked on the nose and palate. Oak has integrated nicely but missing some acidity and tannin on the palate leaves you with a tasty, fruit driven wine. Would be best suited for an after dinner sipping wine but this is definitely on the way down so I would drink up if holding any.

Both stewed and fresh black fruits, smoke, oak, some figgy flavors as well at this point. Well balanced and best after about 2 hours. This is my first ridge so can’t compare to a younger vintage, but this is delicious.

Much better than my last go. That oak is well integrated now only giving hints of chocolate behind rich brambly fruit. Showing some class and maybe even some lava rocks. In a real good spot. Good stuff.
