Very nice mouth feel with a balanced finish. Moderate to high acidity and alcohol. Moderate tannins. Perfect accompanyment to our goat cheese fondue and mustard crusted chicken sandwich. | Tasted by Wicker Parker on 12/1/2006: What a terrific claret — it surprised me with its nose of strawberry and raspberry, its flavors of raspberry and currant and bell pepper, and especially its good length, acidity, and minerality. A joy to drink. When people refer to how California wine was back in the '70s, I imagine this lighter-bodied, well-balanced wine represents that era. (1830 views) | |
