Keowee Wine Mixer; 12/2/2017-12/3/2017 (Seneca, SC): Tasted blind. It was immediately identified as the burgundy because it was so much lighter bodied than the rest and the cherry pinot flavor was present. I tend to prefer drinking Pinot out of proper burgundy glasses, but we were doing the taste with Bordeaux glasses, so I think a point could have been added with proper stemware. Medium bodied with silky tannins and cherry flavor. Certainly exhibiting old world restraint along with the burgundy terroir. This is a good wine and was also the lightest bodied wine in the flight. Others at the tasting were also very complimentary of this particular bottle. It could benefit from a few more years in the cellar but I wouldn't call it unapproachable presently.

What to drink with my brand new Gabriel Glas stems? Aha! Opened 4 hours before serving and followed over three days. Clearly baby killing, as this was super tight on the first night and continued to open over the following days. Will forget my remaining bottle for at least five years.

Maison Harbour tasting (Gray's house, Falls Church, VA): Medium nose displaying black fruits, blackberry, mushroom and a hint of pyrazine/green which made me to think stem inclusion but 100% destemmed. Medium concentration, mineral, bright acidity and noticeable tannins.
