Gala Dinner 2023: (A) A spicy and fragrant nose. Great texture, intensity and minerality. Impressive length. Excellent showing and also my best experience with PYCM so far. 94-95

Musique & Vin Festival BYO Dinner with Musicians (1243 Bourgogne Society - Beaune): Tasted twice, both small tastes. From 3L that had been opened 6-8 hours before dinner. First taste was very good with the richness of the best harmonized 2013s combined sweet and tart, plus typical PYCM richness. More Meursault Perrieres minerality and nuttiness emerged when re-tasted a few hours later. Give this air.

PNP. Flight of 13 and 17 PYCM Meursault Perrieres. Full yellow. Loose knit and somewhat tropical nose, moderate spice and minerality. This might be showing some botrytis? The palate like the nose is rounder and more open knit, with lemon essence but not much acidiity nor lift. Nice wine but we much preferred the 17.

M&PD Zoom night. Blind tasting of the following wines:
2013 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières 2011 Coche-Dury Meursault Domaine et Selection 2007 Domaine Ramonet Chevalier-Montrachet 1995 Château Rayas Châteauneuf-du-Pape Reserve 1989 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Hommage à Jacques Perrin 1989 Château Rayas Châteauneuf-du-Pape Reserve
I *loved* this wine - so much so that I bought the three bottles I could find online during the tasting. This is a big wine while still maintaining Burgundy sensibility.
Here are my real time notes:
great nose. so big up front - immediately upon uncorking tastes like corton-charl little detritus - aged fruit Beautiful roundness in mouth. Long finish.
