Wine was fine, a Demi sec was just what we wanted before Christmas dinner, it seemed just a little flat though. The wine had been properly stored but there was not the normal schramsburg bubbles. Guess that happens sometimes.
Medium yellow color. Dough, floral, appricots, and citrus. On the palate a touch of sweetness along with notes of honey, chalk, appricots, and baked apples. Medium finish. As one tracker member stated better day 2 and I agree.
I enjoyed this a second time at a dinner for four at a friends house. This paired well with a simply prepared salmon. Golden yellow color. Rich and smooth. Slightly sweet. I tasted apricot and some peach. There's 6% pinot noir, which you can see when the glass is held up. We all thought it was delicious. It's nice when you can 'spread the wealth' with non wine-geek friends.
