Excellent CF from the valley floor! Paired my last magnum with filet mignon and enjoyed a great nose, with amazing taste and a lingering finish, making us wanting more!

Drinking very nicely. Unfortunately, the last of my 12 bottles, this has ended up being one of the best Cab Francs that I have had. Dark fruit, a little chocolate, and a hint of herbal and floral.

From a bottle purchased upon release and cellared under ideal conditions, Crocker & Starr's 2012 Cabernet Franc is a standout. Comprised of 100% Cabernet Franc that was small-lot fermented and aged for 17 months in French oak barriques (60% new), it is a youthfully opaque ruby/crimson in color, and equally youthful in its flavor profile. Loaded with black currants, dark bramble fruits, dried herbs, licorice and bittersweet chocolate, it is a full-bodied bruiser with vibrant acidity, big sweet tannins, well-integrated alcohol (listed as 14.8%) and complementary oak. The middle palate offers a boatload of sweet fruit that is complemented by herbal notes on the lengthy finish. Decant this for at least an hour. Those holding bottles in their cellars need not worry about opening it soon. That said, with enough air, it is entering its drinking window. Drink now-2032.
Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Big nose of Kirsch, menthol, currants and dried plums. Flavors of black cherries, black berries and dried plums. Medium acidity, drying to firm tannin, full bodied. Drink now with some air.
My guess was Cabernet Sauvignon (0), Napa (1), USA (1), 2016 (1).

Stunning from the moment the bottle was opened until the last drop. Decanted for 45 minutes; drank over the next two hours.
