Decanted for 1.5 hours. Nose of blackberry, currant, anise, cedar, forest floor and spice. Black fruit, cedar, anise, forest floor and spice on the palate. Very long, layered finish. Extremely well balanced. Full bodied. Served with reverse seared strip steaks with garlic herb butter.

Excellent. Dark ruby in appearance. Dark chocolate on the nose. Dark berry and chocolate notes on the palate. Full bodied, with fine tannins. Fruit lasts on the finish.
It's got more time on it, but tastes like it's at its prime now.

Courtesy of T&L popped and poured with supper. A beautiful wine on opening showing currant, plum, chocolate and blue fruit aromas with an intoxicating violet overtone. Tannins are firm but fine and have a sweet edge, giving way to currant and blue fruit flavors. With air this took on a one dimensional, and for me much less enjoyable tone. The floral note was no longer there, and the nose and palate are dominated by what I can only describe as a blueberry milkshake aroma and flavor. The finesse is gone and it seems a bit clunky- almost as if it's not even the same wine. Domino picked up the herbal notes of the franc (48%). A somewhat odd experience with this wine.
