Fragrant nose of petrol, candied lemon, and citrus, along with touches of honey, apple, and peach. It has clean, bracing acids with good fruit concentration and a slightly fleshy mouthfeel. It's off-dry on the palate with apple, citrus, waxy and petrol flavours. Some tartness on the mid-palate while the long finish brings some limestone mineral notes.

Riesling Rampage 2017: Green apple, lemon, smoke and lemon. The palate is quite delicate, with the fruit showing lovely purity and lithe flavours. There are signs of the residual sugar, but the medium acidity keeps it feeling well balanced. Medium length, if there was a little more depth and length it would be even more impressive.

Appearance: Clear wine with a pale lemon colour and green reflections.
Nose: Clean nose with a Medium+ intensity. This wine is youthful.
As usual I did this wine blind but called it immediately - unmistakably Riesling. Lime zest, green apple skin and slatey minerality are prominent but well balanced with the kerosene/petrol notes - I personally appreciate this as these can sometimes dominate an otherwise lovely wine.
Palate: Off-dry High acidity Low alcohol Medium intensity Medium body Medium+ finish
Slightly softer than the nose suggests with more stone fruit and softer citrus. Still a refreshing wine but not quite as lively as I was hoping for on the palate - perhaps a little too much sugar.
Very good quality Riesling from the Niagara Peninsula, Canada. Can be drunk now or could equally be held onto for another few years. I believe the price point is around 20 dollars which is excellent QPR for this wine.

Light straw, bright. Crisp green apple, lemon and lime zest, fresh and clean with some light notes of honey and bike tyre. On the palate some residual sugar nicely balanced with acidity, light-medium body, citrus and tree frui, long finish. Can certainly sit for a while longer.

Good floral nose with obvious residual sugar, good acidity with minerals and youthfulness.
