  • What do you drink with BLTs? Well the internet said a medium bodied red or a fruity and flavorful rose. Then I remembered we had this rose that we bought on our visit to Clarksburg CA and the tasting rooms at the Old Sugar Mill. We enjoyed this wine when we tasted it partly because we had not run across the carignane varietal before. Carignane is said to be high in acid and tannin made as a red wine and is
often blended with Grenache. Made as a rose it had a great red color and flavorful enough to go with the bacon in the BLT. My 87 year old mother-in-law gave it a thumbs up. Serve cool to cold.
