  • Served for dinner with grass fed beef filets, garlic green beans and sautéed portobello mushrooms. Bottle removed from cellar 4 hours before the meal was served, and decanted 30 minutes prior to sit down.
    Color: dark and thick, ambered, with beautiful legs. Nose: full, rich, tarry, nuanced mint and licorice, earthy/wild, initially blackberry and cherries, slight headiness. Mouth: leather, hoisin, cherry cough syrup, black molasses, thick and unctuous, prunes; gamey and smoked meat aspect, well balanced, 18-20sec lingering of flavor. 93/100pts

    (Qupé Syrah Bien Nacido Vineyard) Medium dark red color with pale meniscus; nice roasted plum, barbecue sauce, sweet black fruit and sage nose; mature, hoisin, plum, black fruit, tangy palate; medium-plus finish 93+ pts.
