Wine dinner Very light yellow color Honey suckle, fresh flowers, pear skin, cream and like a hint of paper and a bit of minerals all nose. Lime, cream, vanilla, very nice a bit of oak, mineral and limestone Acid medium plus. Weight medium. Seems a bit over oaked, but still nice.

Blinds at Le Clos (Le Clos SF): 2012 Louis Jadot - Bouzeron (Aligote) $28 L French oak. Nice integrated vanilla tones. Light body, low alc l+ acid. Light, nice vanilla wood with just a touch of fruit underneath (indistinct pommaceous light-yellow wood-toned) that made it overall a nice straightforward pairing partner for nut-encrusted trout.
Overall, very nice and simple. It’s doing one thing, and doing it well. Maybe I didn’t listen closely enough? Score: around 8-8.5
Bouzeron is the only appellation that is designated for Aligote, due to the efforts of Aubert de Villaine of the famed Burgundy producer, Domaine de la Romanee-Conti.

Rickyt's note below is accurate for us. Light golden, and the oak was noticeable. But this had a lot of character. Very enjoyable over 3 nights.
