Fully open. Shows that steely assertiveness one would expect but with a real sense of elegance. Hard for me to call any Aloxe-Corton "charming" but this comes close. Other than accessibility, there's been little development in the past 5+ years... It's got a ways to go but is certainly drinking well now.

Dark ruby in color. Nose is earthy with some menthol, mint. Palate is smooth, soft tannins, drinkable now, fruit takes a back seat, delicate. Complexity is medium. Earthy, barn floor, etc. 88.

In full secondary-tertiary stage; light color and body, lusciously mature.

A little restrained on both the nose and palate at this time but an excellent Corton with an elegant touch. Earthy, focused, delicious.
