Coravin fun with Mats and Fredrik part one (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Pencil shavings, graphite, slightly jubey raspberry, muted slight peppery spice. Juicy, slightly sharp acidity, there is a herbaceous pencil shaving note and slight raspberries with lightweight chalky tannins. It's fresh, pleasant, simple though I think it will shine with food (preferably protein).

Quite red currant initially but then broadened and gained breadth on the palate offering ripe red berry fruits and a touch of almost carbonic maceration whole berry candied notes. Very pleasant.

Under Argon spritz. Herbaceous notes - tomato leaf - brambles, slight cherry and muted spice. With time in the glass liquorice and wet earth. In the mouth the wine is wet and juicy with initial cherry fruit then spice and fine, flour textured tannins which are joined by some green notes and slight toastinesss. All of this carries surprisingly long on the palate. More rounded and balanced than I remembered and it went exceedingly well with rare scotch fillet.

On the nose there are aromas of spice, peppercorns red berry and red currant fruit touches of liquorice. In the mouth the wine is juicy with red currant spice notes, tight, slight sour, some tannins, green notes. Meh
