Dark ruby. Aromas of dark fruit, sourdough crust, chocalate, mocha, river rock. On the palate the fruit is red and lively with a hint of spritz, bright acids, light body, low alcohol, tannins firmly in the center but well integrated. A lovely sparkling lift into the medium finish.

Again, after the bit of spritz blows off it’s still enjoyable. Do not approach this with the typical Aussie fruit bomb mindset or you’ll surely be disappointed. I can’t really give a score because technically, I think it’s flawed.

Tasted over five nights, I found it the slightest bit spritzy for the first two nights and much more revealing as it sucked up the ozone. By the end of the bottle it was officially beautiful, and more St. Joseph than South Oz. I will let the remaining lone soldier sleep for another five or so years. It struck me as having the genes for old age.

Continues to be flawed. Dumping out the rest of my bottles.

Interesting effervescent red. Fruit forward first day. Definitely much better on day 2
