In my seller since release. This one looks very young with very little breaking at the edge. The nose head distinct to Cedar and pepper. The palate was mostly layers of cedar followed by leather, cherry and pepper. The wine was of medium viscosity with respect to mouth feel and it had a moderately long finish. Delicious.
In my cellar since release at proper cellar conditions. Decanted and returned to bottle. Medium ruby color much like a mature red burgundy with some bricking at the edge. Smokey, meaty, plummy, blueberry and pepper on the nose. Soft lovely mouthfeel. Very peppery with some sour cherry, cedar, plum and blueberry on the finish. Much better than my reading of other reviews. Perfectly mature and a joy to drink. At the 4 hour mark after decanting the fruit has exploded with a richness that is superb. Upgrade another point at least from 93. Fantastic with a grilled fresh Venison backstrap.
Last bottle of 12, good fill, notes very good to fine plus, decanted half an hour - Mid plum red, amber rim, plum and earth on nose, medium weight, long and persistent, fruit largely faded, but lovely structure and balance, even so quite complex flavour profile, just edged on night by excellent 85. Fine plus (18/20).
Popped and poured. Stunning nose with dark fruit, pepper and mineral. Expansive flavors on the palate, but a bit one-dimensional given the dominance of iron/mineral. Nice lingering finish. Past peak. Drink 'em if you've got 'em.

(E. Guigal Côte-Rôtie Brune et Blonde) Slightly bricking, light medium red color with pale meniscus; nice lamb jus and pepper nose; lovely, lamb and beef jus, borscht and horseradish palate, probably at its prime; medium-plus finish
