A nice expression of this varietal out of Australia, with citrus notes, honeydew and a buttery element as well. With fresh acidity in the forefront and a medium mouthfeel, this is a solid QPR of a wine.

Very rarely do we see 100% Roussanne, so grabbed it. Don't have much experience tasting Roussanne, but was still quite surprised by it's delicate elegance, but also by the easily discernible use of oak. The color is very light golden. The relatively shy nose shows some oxidation, brown spice and lemon. The palate is crisp and light with wood overtones to the ripe apple and citrus fruit with a touch of almond. As it warms in the glass we taste some cinnamon, cider and tangerine. Even the acid has a delicate edge. More wood with apple on the silky finish.

Such quiet and shape-shifting aromas. 13.0% ABV. Very mineral. Mouth-full of rocks, blind to fruit.

Wool-y and maturing tree fruit aromas. 'Walking through a sand dune.'

Nice acid, mineral, not a flashy wine, subtle character, but a very nice wine all the same.
