Over two days. Four years since last tasting; the wine came together, the oak integrated, and it shows beautifully now. Shades of quality Amarone, with Cabernet Franc offering suggestions of aged Right Bank Bordeaux. Interesting, rustic, balanced, and very long. It showed best on the second day. It should hold form for three to five years.

Big rich nose of leather, earth and a hint of licorice. Dark fruit, dried black cherry, saddle leather and a hint of juniper berry combine for a long complex finish. Great wine.

Drank over three days. A beautiful wine and very young. Still fairly tight and oak is in the process of integrating. The wine features great acid, stalwart structure, and a substantive finish.

Drank over three days, preserved with vaccuum pump. Day one it was not impressive, but by day three it was wide open, expressive, a nose redolent with leathery black fruit and wood, great weight and tannin in the mouth. Beautiful wine, but took some real time to open up. If I were to drink the full bottle at one sitting I would definitely decant for a couple of hours first.

Spice, dark cherry and currant, cinnamon; great spice, focused, dried leaves, nutty, softer tannin; good.
