Very good example of a new age, bright, spicy and warm Cotes du Rhone. Rather large-scaled and very high in alcohol, however the wine is fun to drink and easy going. Very ripe red fruits with somw provencal herbs. A powerhouse CdR for a bargain price. Not subtle or complex but very generous.

Drunk directly after the Brechet Lirac, this came acress as a very similar wine which was also an absolute winner with Neapolitan pizzas. Round and powerful but not in any way over-bearing. Close to a perfect match with the food and with its sibling, a favorite around the table.

Fresh., young and vibrant. Juicy grenache fruit. Very ripe but has his Avis verve. Some heat is noticeable which accentuates the tannins somewhat, but it is a delicious wine.

Plush and smooth with a juicy, ripe and youthful personality. It is slightly hot at 15% but this is not a monster along the lines of some of the more over-bearing 2007 and 2010s. Good value for money and drinks well now.

Sweet, spicy cherry. Warm profile, supple texture, nice herbal element. Very nice and far more suave than one would expect, for the price.
