Without looking at my previous TN (just over 12 months ago), I decanted this bottle for 40 minutes and the wine continued to open for another 20-30 minutes. The color was a medium purple with an array of dark fruits and earth on the nose. The wine was medium to plus bodied and lush on the palate. It showed black cherry, blackberry, cranberry, black tea, lots of spice, earth and just a touch of tannin. The acidity was juicy but balancing, and the finish was medium plus. This is a Pinot Noir with gravitas that will probably continue to hold for several years.

Decanted for 1 hour but continued to improve with more air. Dark red fruits and earth om the nose. The wine was medium bodied and very smooth on the palate and showed these same dark red fruits and earth along with some spice and a touch of tannin. The acidity was balancing, and the finish was medium+. This is a Pinot with presence and will probably hold for several years.

Medium dark garnet color, medium bodied, with aromas of macerated cherries and red berries with some spice. Flavors of rich dark cherry and red berry with english tea on the long finish. Delicious but a bit heavy for a pinot, very good nonetheless?

One of the better 2012's I've had. On one hand, it is very smooth with a balanced dark fruit profile with fully resolved tannins and decent acid (for the year). But on the other, there not much of a sense of place here. Well made in this smooth style. But my palate has moved on from wines like this, D. Serene's Evenstad Reserve, etc.
