  • Slightly bretty farmyard nose. Even at 10 yrs, it needed so e air to open up.

Crunchy fruit with unripe notes and zingy acidity. The intes uty if fruit and length is bang on. Tannins offer great structure fir the fruit to hang onto. Quite grippy on the finish.

    I enjoyed this tbh.

  • Drank the first bottle of this in 2016 and recall not being impressed, so my second bottle has been sitting in the cellar since, always passed over like an unloved dog at the shelter. Was having Persian food tonight and, although I guess Musar would have been the semi-geographic obvious choice, I have no Musar, so pairing-wise I wanted something that would be juicy (since I figured rice and herb-heavy dishes didn't want strong tannins) but also with some spicy complexity. This bottle totally fit the bill, and much much better for the 4 extra years if storage. Floral and meaty but still some blackberry fruit. Definitely an example of a cheap wine being worth a few years of storage costs.

  • Still crunchy fresh fruit, friendly citrus as you want (with the syrah), good balance, firm, but good tannins This wine has personality. Drink now; cannot become better.

  • A lovely middleweight with a crisp bouquet of fresh raspberries and ripe red currants. This combinations continues in a gentle, also fresh and polished (after)taste; no signs of age in the taste.

  • Consistent after these several years. Rich black fruit and graphite, full of garrigue, a bit of ash. Perhaps a touch of brett but very harmonious. Fine acid, chewy tannins remain. In a pretty fun place but certainly a handful of years remaining.
