Drank this a while ago and don't have formal notes. All I can remember is that it was one of those wines that was interesting AND good and actually good BECAUSE it was interesting (well, it was also delicious).

Complex and attractive aroma - citrus peel, apple, white flowers, nuts, crushed rock. Similar on the palate - citrus peel, flowers, roasted nuts, gravelly minerality, and a dash of relatively subdued fruit, along the lines of orange and apple. Medium bodied, slick, silky. Good medium level of acidity, enough to keep it balanced and refreshing. Fully dry, and even a touch tannic. Some mild bitterness develops toward the finish. Citrus peel and flowers linger for some time. Tasty, and complex, with a lot going on while staying totally cohesive. Good, characterful stuff.

Wines at Tosca with Alex L (Tosca, San Francisco): Nose: Apple cider. Pretty funky. Oxidative with Brett! (rare to have Brett on a white wine). Hint of dessert-wine character - wax, saffron, genmaicha, honey. Not fruit driven. Palate: Unbalanced. Low acid, flabby on midpalate. Overall: Interesting aromatics but unbalanced. Score: Around 7
