A terrific 1er Chablis. Pale gold. A complex, aromatic bouquet of baking spices, yellow and some green apples, pineapples and rock melons, with orange zest. There is an undertow of oyster shell, chalk and a little salty seaspray and a nascent top note of meadow flowers. A rich, powerful entry on the palate. Good energy and focus on the mid palate. Concentrated with real volume. Grapefruit, marmalade, spices, pineapple, creamy and mineral with a lick of rock salt. A touch of phenolic bitterness on the moderately long finish. Wide open. Ready to drink.

This is still a young wine. It has a steely palate of green apples, white peaches and chalk. There is a strong acidic spine. Tight as a drum, needs a few more years to blossom. Right now best with scallops in cream sauce or Dover sole.

Wow, just wow. This is nearly my perfect white wine. Aromas of tropical fruit and creme brûlée, tangy pineapple, minerality, and slight creaminess, perfectly balanced acidity and long finish. An incredibly elegant and balanced wine. We had it with grilled rainbow trout topped with lemon, herbs and a pad of butter and it blew our minds! Such an incredible value at $60. This could cellar a few more years to further concentrate the flavors but man is it drinking well right now.
