  • Maybe missed its mark. Should have had earlier. Still classic Pinot, but didn’t knock my socks off like I thought it would.

  • This has improved with additional cellaring. Still on the lighter side for Pinots, but it has picked up marginally more depth of body and complexity. Primary flavors of light red fruit, with some mushroom and cedar. Drink now.

  • Gotta admit, 2010 is not one of my favorite Oregon vintages (neither is '11 and I didn't want to buy any 2013s without tasting them first, I finally learned my lesson.). So this starts with that prejudice, I like bigger pinots. Shea is a really good vineyard and you can taste the cherry and dark flavors from the vineyard. The wine is quite light and the pleasant flavors at first seemed to turn a little more acidic on the second glass. This is probably a good example of the 2010 vintage.
