Appealing and a bit transparent. Fresh crushed cherries, not too sour actually a bit sweet with notes of vanilla. Nice acidity and soft tannins. Medium intensity and length. Easy drinker 4+8+13+8=83

The entry-level wine of Camillo, made entirely of Ciliegiolo.
Somewhat translucent cherry red color with a blue-ish hue. The nose is crunchy, vibrant and very attractive with very red fruit-forward aromas of cherries, brambly raspberries, some redcurrants and a hint of sappy herbal character. The wine is crisp, lively and medium-bodied on the palate with pure, youthful flavors of tart red berries, sour cherry bitterness, exotic spices, raspberry-driven primary fruit, a little bit of wild cherry and a sappy hint of herbs. The wine is high in acidity with moderately grippy tannins. The finish is long, tart and somewhat bitter with dry, mouth-cleansing flavors of crunchy cranberries and tart lingonberries, sweeter wild strawberries, some sour cherry bitterness, a little bit of earthiness and a hint of coffee grounds.
This is an enormously attractive, somewhat unambitious, but still very serious and thoroughly delicious little red wine that has a very Chianti Classico-like air to it, but it still is an entirely different animal. It feels like an unassuming, little wine, but it still packs surprisingly mean punch with its crunchy acidity, firm tannins and noticeable sour cherry bitterness. I'm not sure how much good aging will do to this wine - although most likely it will only benefit from a few years of aging - but it is a perfectly delicious weekday wine for simpler meals. Ciliegiolo at its best.

160 NOK. Nydelig reint bærpreg, litt ung, produksjonspreg, blåplomme, lett søtlig. 2 timer i karaffel, til pizza. Veldig fin lukt, frukt og blomster, fullmodne einebær i ettersmaken, kjølig frukt. 1 dag i åpen flaske: Beisk og ubalansert

maraschino cherry, vanilla, sweet tannins, forward acidity. Screams for a tomato dish or salumi.

Spices & maraschino cheery. Clean with good lift. Good ringer for a Beaujolais Villages.
