  • PnP. Better than our bottle back in April as this bottle was relatively fresh with no signs of fading. The palate showed lots of spice, along with bright red and dark red fruits, some earth and a significant woody note from the 40% whole cluster. The acidity was balanced and any tannins were integrated.

  • late peak, fabulous nose, elegant, med-light body, alpine strawberry, dried cherry with minimal tartness, tertiary balsamic truffle earth with moderate finish. Drinking beautifully, feels at the end of its peak even for lovers of tertiary flavor profile. Wine Canuck's excellent flavor profile notes of three years ago are spot on. Still plenty of complexity and freshness.

  • A wine that is definitely fading with age. After a 5 minute slo-ox, the medium bodied palate did show the requisite dark red fruits but they were overshadowed by the earthiness, the spice and the acidity of the wine. This imbalance continued to increase as the dinner progressed. Drink 'em if you got 'em.

  • This was flat out gorgeous. Pours pale ruby, lightly cloudy. The nose is lifted and complex showing red cherry, pickled ginger, rosewater, star anise, pomegranate, and hints of orange zest and petrichor. The palate is in wonderful balance, with low chalky tannin and medium plus red frutied acid. The finish is medium plus in length. Poured blind for an experienced taster they were thinking it was 1er Pommard from a quality producer.

  • A bit too rustic for my taste, but well made. The taste is rather reflective of the process (natural yeast, no filtration, 15 months in barrel). Fruit forward. Raspberries, green apple, pronounced acidity. Pretty OK, but not exactly my ‘cup of wine’!
