  • Still drinking very well as are all other Siduri 2013. Bright complex fruit. Signature Adam Lee finish

  • Another CT member wrote: Siduri never disappoints. I agree with this useful assurance especially with guests who don't crave "complex" wines as I do. At the same time, there are no epiphanies either. In CA PN, I find Sta. Rita Hills, along with Fort Ross/Seaview AVA to be the most interesting, ie. complex and well balanced. This wine shows a medium, ruby color and it is light on its feet for 14.3% ABV. The nose sings with light cherry and a hint of blackcurrant, along with earthy mushrooms and liquorice. The cola that often haunts other CA PN is retrained here. A light medium mouthfeel with zingy tartness and noticeable tannins bring backbone to the fruit and leave an extended, pleasantly balanced finish. The wine is in its drinking window now. Decanted for about 1/2 hour and then the wine continued to develop in the glass.

  • Never disappoints. A hint of pepper on opening. Aggressive on palate. Yum.

  • Very nice right now. Lip smacking fruit perfectly balanced with acidity. No rough or green edges. Very soft tannins. Mild cherry notes. Very pleasant sipper and would go with many foods. Crowd pleaser too. Wish I had more.

  • Last of 3 from the "Santa Rita Hills" package, which I think was about $135 and included Clos Pepe and the Santa Rita Hills, from Siduri's holiday event in either 2016 or 2017. Opened--screw top--30-45 mins before first glass, no decant. Some cherry on the nose with dried spices, not the usual baking spice of RRV pinots but more like sage, lavender, maybe rosemary along with somewhat muted semi-sweet cherries. On the palate, definitely no fruit bomb. Has those cherry and spice notes, with saline and savory notes, doesn't have the acidity to be a Northern Rhone Syrah, but does have some commonality. On the back end, still surprisingly robust tannins, some heat and just a bit of acidity, although these notes integrated well after an hour plus in the glass. Paired well with spicy chicken feta orzo. The usual solid job from Siduri, although at about $50@, I'd rate the qpr just fair.
