Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 91 points

  • Drinking well now (to correct for the drinking point, would be 10 or 11 points).
Smells great of roses, violets, a little tar. Distant red cherry and redcurrant. There are clove and cinnamon. However, there is noticeable oak, too, with vanilla and butter. Rye bread.
The palate is well integrated with medium body, high acidity and tannin. Also a touch of sweetness. Black tea and dark chocolate, honey or strawberry jam. A little stewed strawberry maybe? Tobacco and smoke on the finish. Racy but not offensive.
    9+/18
