Less complex compared to the 1985 Figeac, but nonetheless a bit in the same mold with earthy notes, iron, quite juicy fruit and good acidity. Great surprise.

(95-97) Opened during snowstorm and drank by the fire. Steve: nice fruit, well-balanced, gorgeous color, as good as this wine gets. No wonder we polished off the bottle in no time flat!

nice mod. dark color with tawny edge; faded high-toned flowers and leather on the nose; gentle fruit on the palate with good length and and a tangy finish. An interesting wine that was on the vine when we got married. Unfornately this is my last bottle, but there are other 81's waiting for me. No reason to wait on this - drink now and enjoy!

Still quite powerful. Brownish color and strong taste of leather and tart fruits

Drank at home with Elaine and Mark Fishbein, with pasta in red sauce. Another lovely bottle!
