Dark fruits, forest floor and dark cherries. Smooth and well structured. Good balance of fruit and savoury. Fresh and delicious. Went really well with Iberico pork chops. Lovely.

This was one lovely dolcetto. Totally feminine, it was a little reticent at first but grew more elegant and perfumed by the minute. Very pretty aromas of violets and subdued plum fruit. Balanced and nuanced in the mouth, it took about 45 minutes before the fruit really came into play. Soft oak backnotes. Consumed in a BYO nearby with a mushroom pizza and rigatoni with broccoli rabe and sausage. Really a top-notch effort. Imported by David Vincent in Union, New Jersey, a very intense guy I met who was sampling his own wines in a nearby retail store. So far so good!
