I reviewed this wine several months ago and found it a bit thin and wanting, giving it a generous 88. Well, I think I found out how to drink this wine.
On day one it was much like I remembered it, a little fruit, thin, no finish of particular interest. OK, no problem, I mean I kinda knew what I was getting based on the earlier bottle so I drank a third and put it away back in my little 55 degree wine fridge I use for left over bottles (not enough sadly, lol). Two days later I returned to the bottle and WOW, it had really changed (for the better). It was round, savory with dark fruits and smooth tannins. Just a delight to drink.
Ok, when I bought this I was told this had depth and character but based on reviews and my own earlier experience, not the case.
So this is a day two or three wine. I finished my last glass on day 4 and it was still drinking VERY nicely. 90+, I'm holding the first day a little against it for my final rating but that is in truth a little arbitrary ......... decide for yourself. Just give it a day or two to blossom.

Very similar to the prior note - comes across pretty simple, nicely balanced though with crunchy red cherry and plummy fruit. Nice acidity on the finish.

Still in a "thin phase", there is some fruit behind the mineral driven core but it manages to retain a certain spark of enjoy-ability! Funk and fruit on the nose, acids gravel and berries on the palate. There's just enough harmony with point counter points plainly visible. Great food wine.

maybe this wine is just in a dumb phase, but I was not impressed. decent mouthful, with a somewhat reticent core of fruit, but clunky.
