The wine of the night for me! This wine was incredible. Unique and robust aromas of olives, earth floor, smoke, and black cherry. It opened quickly and was drinkable as soon as the cork was pulled. But continued to get better with time. Amazing life. Great notes of black cherry, soil, and leather. Mouth-watering tannins, and a long powerful finish to top it off.

I thought the 88 was just as good as the 82 and the 66. Seemed to be at its peak.

Crumbling wet cork did not injure contents; decanted 4 hours; cherries and plumbs on the nose; good balance and finish.
