I love more restrained Napa cab, and mostly drink burgundy and loire.
So that’s the context when I say this: this wine isn’t restrained or Bordeaux-like. It’s weedy, green, and dilute. Don’t know how they fouled up such a good vintage, but I am deeply underwhelmed.

During a Cab Sav Dinner. Now here is a drinkable Napa Cabernet. Not your sweet bruiser but like in good Medoc fashion, controlled, restraint, yet enough fruit. Nose of dark fruit, some earthy scents intermix with cedar wood. Good volume with freshness and tannic structure to support it.

Very spicy flavors but very little fruit. My wife likes that but for me it has no real taste. Could age another year or two, we may be drinking a bit too soon.

At Clos du Val, I was poured one of the older Cabernet Sauvignons thanks to Alex and Bill, nose of rich cabernet/cherry pitted fruit, touch of cassis, spice, and plum, more of the same on the palate, very pleasant, fresh and rich berry flavor, subtle with elegance compared to the other reds tasted today, 100% Napa Valley fruit but not Stag's Leap District fruit, medium/big body, two year's to its peak, medium/long flavorful finish.
