Opaque inky crimson color with aromas of boysenberry and red fruit, also meat, vanilla, blue fruit and white pepper. Full-bodied with medium tannins and flavors of dark fruit and incense with a long finish.
Popped and poured. Still inky dark in appearance and not showing any visual signs of age. I thought this was drinking well from the jump. Dark fruits and some blueberry (is that a dark fruit?) with mild pepper notes. Paired really well with rosemary brined pork chops. Did not think this was declining.
