I brought to Canyon with PF and AJ. Nose of AmOak (not excessive), shitaki and feightly of wintergreen. Liquid mouth. No jam and no excessive heat (yeah!!). A very well balanced Toro. In a nice spot now. I am a low alcohol guy. But I might buy San Roman again, if 14.5% or under.

This wine is in a good place right now. A modern style wine, fruit upfront, loaded with dark fruits, blackberry, currant, figs, complex, full body, soft tannins, some minerals, dark chocolate, and creamy long lasting finish. delicious to drink now.

Give this 30 minutes of air and it turns into a well-structured, smooth wine that reminds me more of Priorat than Toro. Lots of blue fruit and tobacco notes. Some other vintages of San Roman have been monolithic monsters, but this one is lovely. Sorry it's my last bottle, but I'm guessing it's at peak.

Great nose after a swirl Tannins still structured and fruit hasn’t turned. Peaking though still has a decade left.

Previous note says it all. Firm, but not over the top or too extreme in approach. Ageing has made this more friendly
