My last bottle of this vintage and still drinking very well, like a mid maturity high class Vouvray. Age has brought a sense of sweetness (though it's a Sec) that adds to the package.

I think the last vintage I had was the 2002. No idea why I waited so long. The Huet connection is very clear, at least if you're looking for it. It has the weight and acidity of a good Vouvray. Dry but with some richness. Broiled lemon. Already 8+ years old but drink or hold.

Lighter in color. Mint tea and sweet citrus rind on the nose. Citrus continues through on the palate along with medium bodied viscosity, medium/high brightness, a bit of creamy citrus pith towards the end. Je n'ais se quoi complexity through and through.
Reminds me of a Garganega from Italy, in a very good way.

Still light yellow. Some hay and quince. Medium weight, just short of Chenin-like glycerine and feel. Off dry pear fruit, ringing acidity with a lemony quality, and a seriously soil endowed finish. I know that I am biased since this is produced by the same group that owns Huet, but it is amazing to me how often this wine bears a striking resemblance to Vouvray despite being rendered from a different varietal. Excellent and interesting. This will be carried by its acidity for some time-no degradation since last tasted in 2014.
Second day-more of an apple cider quality, but still fresh

Continues to surprise me how Chenin-like it is. Sec tender. Good.
