This wine was a peasant surprise. The grape profile, which I was unfamiliar with, was very fruity and had a wonderful bouquet. I left wine in the bottle for several days and it only intensified; the wien never fell apart. It's a very good food wine also. Tannins are negligible. It's hard to describe this wine. I can't even say it was a cross between this and that. But it was good. Had a lovely soft red translucent color like a burgundy. This wine made me want to explore more of what the Mt Etna wines have to offer, but when searching my local store, I don't see a lot of offerings for this particular grape variety. Recommended.

Really good. I've never had this grape before and was really interested to try something from Sicily. Pinot like color and clarity. Initially slightly tart strawberry and bright red fruit flavors. Soft texture. Fine grain tannins and certainly could become more integrated and subtle with a year or two but good now. I wish there was more for me to buy.

Really liked this. Lots of vibrant red fruits, with a dusting of white pepper and the textural sensation of ground spices. Shows plenty of energy and vibrancy, with young, fresh red fruit.

I think this wine could benefit from more time. Quite tannic and also the oak was noticeable. Flavors and aromas of dark fruit, peppermint, and tobacco. Feels like it needs a little time to come together but could be pretty special at this price once it coheres.
