  • The first bottle I had of this 2 years ago was better than this one. Serious wine. A bit too serious for me! Some alcohol on the p. Better after quite a lot of air. Interesting and nice with Comte.

  • 67PM with Roger + friends (67 Pall Mall): Really popular around the table: dark gold, authoritatively weighty and full of flavour, not exactly tertiary but certainly well-developed, yet sufficiently fresh to be food-friendly and play nicely with the 2017 PYCM. This was the cheapest wine at the table tonight, but was the favourite of 4/6 present.

Texture onctueuse, fruits blancs (poires?), longueur moy, acidité assez faible.
Pas certain si le vin évoluera beaucoup, à boire à court-moyen terme selon moi.

  • Natural farming, late harvested, aged on the yeast without any impact of oak. 14% vol.

A Step up again compared to last bottle, everything fits together now. PnP and enjoyed over 2 hours at approximately 14°C. Needs a bit air but then it is impressive, complex nose with honey notes and dried apricot, on the palate creamy, decent sweetness, mouth coating and very long. The high acidity is not noticeable anymore, great showing now, 93+.

Incredible how it evolved over the years and an incredible value for the price. Happy for those that could wait, drink now or within the next 8+ years.

  • Another impressive white Burgundy.
On nose:roasted, buttered almonds and fresh pineapple.
On palate: above notes amplified, in addition to a delightful coating of botrytis, dried apricot, a ghost of fresh nutmeg, essence of tiger lily and a puree of ripe lightly acidic crab apples.....has evolved amazingly , since last tasted in 2015.....blind tasted at dinner, with a friend who that it might possibly be a Batard- Montrachet.....but at one fifth of the price!...lol.
Went very well with Pork loin....can age further.
