Very pale red. Nose: Unmistakably Pinot fruit but with some Cabernet Franc funk. Tart cherries, cranberries, red plum. Mushroom, truffles. Wet stone and violets. Very pretty. Palate: Medium bodied, bright acidity and just a touch of sweetness. Mild and well integrated tannins, but that's to be expected from the pale color - moderate tannin extraction from the skins. Impressively balanced. Tart cherries, cranberries, red plum on the palate as well, but also showing raspberries. Just a hint of oak, this is about the lively fruit. Also, a bit of blood orange, tar and rosemary. Finish: bright acidity really carries the palate for a long time, it's the tar and rosemary that carry it to the end. Overall a brilliant wine, showing a lot of restraint on the body and mouthfeel, but bursting with bright flavors. Especially appreciate its deceptively low ABV. I really like this wine, especially at this price.

Very light garnet approaching rosé with light strawberry nose. Acid and light tannins bracket the strawberry fruit. very restrained almost like a more robust rosé. drinking very well with the low 10.5% alc. would pair nicely with the fresh caught salmon we had the other night.

Nov 2015: Same. Super tart.
Mar 2015: Light with biting acidity. Tasty and unique. Put a slight chill on it and drank it with grilled salmon.
