Brought this to The French Ladle yesterday with 2 close friends from the university days. Drank alongside the 2013 Château La Fleur de Boüard.
Bright purple in colour with rich floral and plum notes. Vibrant, youthful and dances like a graceful ballerina. May have consumed this a tat early and would have liked to see how this would develop over the next 10 to 15 years.

Medium- to dark ruby colour. Ripe red and dark berries, joined by red cherry, fig, herbal notes, pastille, spices, liquorice, a hint of chocolate and smoky mineral notes, with good acidity, firm, fine tannin and good length. The medium-bodied wine needed some aeration, but then became firm, complex, dense and well-balanced. Good. Good value in CdP terms. Drink or hold.

Deep garnet. Nose of anise and a bit of honey. Tarte on the tongue with lots of anise and some plum in the background. I wouldn’t leave it longer.

Still youngish. Could have gone a few more years.

In the perfect drinking window right now. Well balanced and pleasing. Good entry level CdP.
