  Nose: black fruit, vegetal green pepper, mushroom, light smoke. Palate: stewed plum, blackberry, balsamic tones, moderately acidic finish, very subtle silky tannins. Drank from 1.5L, was interesting but clearly on the downslope.

  Still young and primary, dark, purple fruits, pepper and spice, juicy, fleshy, not very winey, if you know what I mean. A wine well suited for more modernist palates.

  The cork fell into 1,000 pieces...luckily, the wax encapsulation saved the day. This Syrah is drinking young. New world profile with black pepper and smoke dominant. Very good...let decant for an hour/90 minutes.
