  • Fill into neck. 1/2 teaspoon of sediment. I'm always impressed by how well this vintage of this wine has held up. Color is still very strong. Consumed over several hours and it did not drop off at all. Plenty of ripe, but not too ripe black fruits with touches of underbrush and Oak. Extra point for longevity.

  • Three years since i last tasted this wine and it's still going strong...
I do need to point out that the corks are of insufficient quality. It will eventually doom my remaining 7 bottles.
Classic California Cabernet Sauvignon from the days when they cared about making balanced, ageworthy wines.
The hue is remarably youthful with not even a trace of amber; quite stunning.
Beautiful cassis on the nose with plum, herbal notes and spicy elements. 1991 has, in my opinion, turned out to be a great California vintage. Surprisingly lively acidity, moderate alcohol, sophisticated, balanced wine.
With a good cork, this would age for another 10-20 years. I'm tempted to re-cork...

  • Fill into neck. Blow away by this wine. Looks like it is only 7 or 8 years old. Blackberries, black cherries, sweet vanilla Oak, some eucalyptus and herbs. Silky 30+ second finish. This bottle had another 5+ years left in it.

  • Excellent showing last night.
clasic California Cab without its current excess and lack of distinction.
Strong graphite and smoky nose but cassis is still niticeable in background.
still firm. Will continue to age nicely

  • Bought this around 1993 and have kept it in the wine fridge since it arrived. I visited the winery around 1996 with my family and had a great experience. They were quite kind to my young kids, allowing them to taste some grapes from the vineyard in front of the house.

This had a nice nose of some plum, cedar and fresh mint.
Nice acidity and good fruit in an elegant and gentle style. Still holding up now some 26 years after vintage. Nicely balanced and inviting.
    Delicious.
